Men's Basketball Coach Jeff Young Earns 200th Win

Walsh University Head Coach Jeff Young recorded career win number 200, when Walsh (2-0) pounded Mohawk College 94-49 at the Nov. 18 Houghton College Turkey Drive Classic. Young, in his eighth year at Walsh, has an overall record of 200-39.
Walsh placed five players in double figures in a game that they were never threatened. The Cavs shot 40-83 (49%) from the field and 5-15 (33%) from three-point. L. J. Sutton (6-7, Sr., Youngstown, OH/Cardinal Mooney) led all scorers with 20 points and with a game-high 12 rebounds. Ron Kinney (6-7, Sr., Cleveland, OH/Rhodes) and Kenny Kornowski (6-9, Jr., Marshallville, OH/Smithville) each tallied 17 points. Kinney recorded a double-double as he grabbed 10 rebounds. Kornowski had seven rebounds.
Rian Burrell (6-3, Fr., Zanesville, OH/HS) and L. J. Campbell (6-8, R-Fr., Weirton, OH/Weir) each played well off the bench. Burrell had 15 points and seven rebounds, while Campbell had 12 points and five rebounds.
