Jacqueline Mumford joined the Walsh University faculty as an Assistant Professor in 2007.  She holds a B.A. in German and Political Science from Purdue University and an M.S.Ed. in Instructional Design/Development from Purdue University Calumet.  Her Ph.D. is in Curriculum and Instruction from Purdue University with an emphasis on Foreign Language Education and Instructional Technology.

   
       
 
Teaching
Dr. Mumford teaches in the Division of Education.  Courses include: Instructional Technology (EDUC 208), as well as Pre-Clinical (AYA431, MCE423, EDT631, AYA432, MCE424, AYA433, MCE425, AYA434, MCE426, EDT634).  She advises students in AYA/MCE Social Studies licensure programs.  Additionally, Jacqueline serves as a liaison for the Tk20 system on campus. 
 
Scholarship
Jacqueline has been conducting research on the synergy of service learning and diversity in undergraduate instructional technology courses.  Additionally, she has published/presented with her Division of Education colleagues at various national and international conferences on recent research regarding electronic portfolios.  She is an active member various professional associations including ISTE, CALICO, IALLT, AACE, and various others.
 
Service
Jacqueline has a strong commitment to service learning.   EDUC 208 is a service-learning designated course, and Walsh teacher candidates work closely with local students in need, employing technology in an appropriate, safe, meaningful manner.  Additionally, Jacqueline serves as a Co-chair to CALICO (Computer Assisted Language Instruction Consortium).  She has volunteered at an area hospice, as well as provided assistance at local schools.
