National Urban League President Marc Morial to Keynote Nov. 19

National Urban League President Marc H. Morial and Managing Director of The Institute for Entrepreneurial Thinking Dr. Melvin Gravely II will be the featured speakers for an "Empowerment Luncheon" on Saturday, November 19 from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM at Walsh University in the Olivieri Towers Theater. This event is sponsored by The Greater Stark County Urban League, in collaboration with Walsh University´┐Żs DeVille School of Business and the Center of Business Collaboration.

The event is a kick-off for Greater Stark County Urban League Young Professionals Initiative and will give students and other young professionals a chance to hear Dr. Melvin Gravely II and Marc H. Morial speak about success in the job force. Topics such as job creation and leveraging your professional presence will be discussed. This event is free for college students with the presentation of college identification and $10 for non-college students. Light lunch will be provided. Registration for this event is open until November 18, 2011. The Center for Business Collaboration (CBC) at Walsh University provides students with experiential learning opportunities through projects with local, regional, and international businesses and organizations. The Walsh University Center for Business Collaboration works with individual business partners to create appropriate student/faculty - business pairings.  Services include: capacity building, business associate training, business planning, problem solving, restructuring, and other appropriate activities.  Founded in 2008, for the purpose of providing students with real world experiential learning opportunities, the Center has completed more than 40 local and regional collaborative projects to date.
