Author to address winning work habits

North Canton, Ohio, April 10, 2007 - Dick Lyles, author of Winning Habits: 4 Secrets that will Change the Rest of Your Life; Winning Ways: Four Secrets for Getting Great Results by Working Well with People; Responsible Managers Get Results, will speak at Walsh University on Thursday, April 19, at 7:45 p.m., and Friday, April 20, at 9:10 am.  His evening topic will be “Measuring Up as a Catholic Leader in Today’s Corporate Environment.”  In the morning he will talk about “Faith at Work.”  Both sessions are free and open to the public, no reservations required.  They are in the Barrette Business and Community Center, accessible at the Market Street entrance to campus.

The local chapter of Legatus, a national organization of Catholic business leaders seeking to foster spiritual growth and also perpetuate the ability to study, live and spread faith in its members’ business, professional, and personal lives is collaborating with the Walsh Artists and Lecturers Series to bring important speakers to the community.

Dick is the CEO of Leadership Legacies, LLC, a global consulting company that serves business leaders by offering comprehensive and integrated products and services that significantly increase the performance of their organizations. He is the former president of The Ken Blanchard Companies®, which doubled in size during his three-year tenure. For 25 years Lyles has been an entrepreneur, executive, author, speaker, and consultant with an international clientele, including Fortune 500 companies and government agencies around the world.

Dick is a frequent guest on radio and television programs and speaks at conventions, conferences, and executive retreats around the world and is known for his ability to energize people and develop powerful results -- producing relationships.

With his wife, Martha, he founded Maric College in San Diego, CA, where he served as President for three and half years and Chairman of the Board for another eight. Maric is an accredited paramedical school for training nurses and allied health professionals.

Dick is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, and has a master's degree in organizational psychology and a Ph.D. in business administration.
