For the third year in a row, Walsh University has the highest pass rate on the National Council Licensure EXamination (NCLEX) of any traditional BSN program in the state of Ohio at 98.44%. Compared to schools with average rates ranging from 80% to 90%, Walsh’s pass rate was significantly higher than other schools in the state. NCLEX is an examination for the licensing of nurses developed by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) in the United States.
To ensure public protection, each board of nursing requires a candidate for licensure to pass the appropriate NCLEX examination. NCLEX examinations are designed to test the knowledge, skills and abilities essential to the safe and effective practice of nursing at the entry-level.
“This is a tribute to the quality of education provided not only by the faculty in the Division of Nursing but to all faculty at Walsh University,” said division of nursing chair Dr. Linda Linc.
