Prerequisite Coursework
We evaluate prerequisite courses taken at other institutions through review of course descriptions or syllabi. The requirements listed in the Admission Requirements section represent semester credit hours. If you took your courses under a quarter hour system, a two-semester hour course may equate to a course taught over three quarters depending on the credit hours assigned. To convert your quarter credits to semester credits to ensure that your preparation meets these requirements (1 quarter hour=.67 semester hour). Other Specific Requirements:
- B.S. or B.A. degree (undergraduate overall GPA of 3.0 or higher)
- Official transcripts from all former institutions attended
- GRE scores (analytical, quantitative, verbal--used as part of total process; prefer minimum score of 400 in each area)
- Three letters of recommendation (2 Academic, 1 Health Care Professional)
- TOEFL score (international students only)
- Exposure to the field of physical therapy (3 different settings; minimum 24 hours total for all settings).
- Application form (rolling admissions until class filled)
- On-site essay
- Interview (by invitation)
