The Fulbright Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and is the largest U.S. international exchange program offering opportunities for students, scholars, and professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools worldwide.
Award amount: Expenses for one year
Eligibility: The U.S. program is designed for recent BA/BS graduates, current graduate students, young professionals, and artists. Projects may be in any field of study and may take place in more than 140 countries.

Marshall Scholarship for the United Kingdom

Marshall Scholarships enable young Americans of high ability to study for a degree in the United Kingdom. At least forty Scholars are selected each year to study either at graduate or occasionally undergraduate level at an UK institution in any field of study. Each scholarship is held for two years.
Award amount: Comprehensive funding for two years, including university fees, cost of living expenses, annual book grant, thesis grant, research and daily travel grants, fares to and from the United States and, where applicable, a contribution towards the support of a dependent spouse.
Eligibility: Open to U.S. citizens who have graduated from a U.S. college with BA/BS with a minimum GPA of 3.7

George J. Mitchell Scholarship for Graduate Study in Ireland

The US-Ireland Alliance sponsors a competitive national scholarship to connect future leaders to Ireland by supporting graduate study at universities in Ireland.
Awards: One year of study at an Irish university. 
Eligibility: Applicants must be U.S. citizens with a BA/BS degree

Von Humboldt Foundation - German Chancellor Scholarships

German Chancellor Scholarships enable prospective leaders from the U.S.A. (under 35 years of age) in the academic, economic and political fields to carry out projects of their own choice in Germany. During one-year stays, scholars are also given the opportunity to gain an insight into the social, cultural, economic and political situation in Germany.
Award amount: University tuition and fees plus a monthly stipend of EUR 2,000 to EUR 3,500 for twelve months
Eligibility: Applicants must be U.S. citizens with a BA/BS degree

Rhodes Scholarship Trust for Oxford

This international fellowship has been bringing outstanding students from around the world to Oxford since 1902.
Awards: Comprehensive funding for two years of study at any level at the University of Oxford.
Eligibility: Applicants must be U.S. citizens and should have high scholastic achievement, athletic achievement, strong moral character and values, and leadership traits.
