The Program

Counseling & Human Development faculty are seasoned educators and active practitioners. They offer students a well-rounded education with a strong emphasis on case oriented learning.  A variety of clinical placement possibilities help provide graduates with a competitive edge in the professional job market.  Our course requirements are designed to meet nationally focused clinical education and experiential training with a strong emphasis on case-oriented learning. A variety of internship placement possibilities help provide graduates with a competitive edge in the professional job market. Our course requirements are designed to meet nationally recommended curriculum standards for mental health counseling. The program is approved by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board and graduates are eligible to sit for the licensure exam in Ohio.  The degree also meets educational requirements for counselor licensure in many other states.
