Pre-Physical Therapy
Since Walsh University has a first-class Doctorate of Physical Therapy graduate program on campus, our pre-physical therapy program is very popular and very strong. Walsh Pre-Physical Therapy students complete Principles of Chemistry I & II, Organic Chemistry I & II, various courses in anatomy and physiology and most take molecular pharmacology and biochemistry as electives. This very strong science background provides flexibility if a student wishes to change to Pre-Medical or Pre-Pharmacy and when in Physical Therapy school, provides a solid foundation for advanced studies in the sciences. Walsh also offers a fast-track program for those who qualify.

Pre-Medicine, Pre-Optometry
Walsh University has an outstanding pre-medical program. Nearly 100% of Walsh graduates have been able to attend the medical school of their choice. The pre-medical program is designed to prepare students to take the MCAT at the end of their junior year and to be prepared for the rigors of medical school training. Walsh graduates who completed MD and DO programs at various medical school from Ohio State to Penn State and Ohio University, are successfully practicing medicine all over Ohio and across the United States. If you choose Pre-Medicine, expect to maintain a minimum 3.3-3.5 GPA, be involved in volunteer service, internships and leadership roles on campus. Medical schools are looking for diverse individuals who are also academically strong.

Pre-Dentistry
Walsh University has an outstanding pre-dental program. Nearly 100% of Walsh graduates have been able to attend the dental school of their choice. The pre-dental program is designed to prepare students to take the DAT at the end of their junior year and to be prepared for the rigors of dental school training. Walsh graduates who have completed a DDS programs usually at Ohio State or Case Western Reserve are successfully practicing dentistry all over Ohio and across the United States. If you choose Pre-Dentistry, expect to maintain a minimum 3.3-3.5 GPA, be involved in volunteer service, internships and leadership roles on campus. Dental schools are looking for diverse individuals who are also academically strong.

Pre-Pharmacy
The Walsh University Pre-Pharmacy program is outstanding. Our students complete a rigorous curriculum designed to enable a good score on the PSAT at the end of their junior year and then acceptance into pharmacy school. 100% of all Walsh Pre-Pharmacy students in the past 10 years have been accepted into the school of their choice. The Pre-Pharmacy program includes advising that helps students find and complete internships, shadowing opportunities and volunteer work that strengthens the admissions portfolio. One of our faculty members, Dr. Nisreen Nusair, is also a registered Pharmacist and she helps provide our students with advice in the process. We have a strong working relationship with the NEOUCOM College of Pharmacy, OSU College of Pharmacy and others in Ohio.

Pre-Veterinary
Most Walsh University Pre-Veterinary students complete the Biology major. Over the years, almost all of our pre-veterinary graduates have attended Ohio State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Our pre-Vet program provides a strong background in science and ample opportunities to shadow veterinary professionals and to do internships.
