Multicultural Advisory Council
M.A.C. is a gathering of students, faculty, and staff to address issues of diversity on Walsh University's campus. Student representatives from various student organizations, as well as faculty/staff members work directly with the office of Multicultural Affairs to provide training opportunities and programs that will aid in the promotion of diversity and equality for all students, regardless of ethnicity, race, culture, gender, or sexual orientation.

Multicultural Admission Experience
M. A. X. is a co-sponsored event with the Office of Admissions. Each Spring Semester, the Offices of Multicultural Affairs and Admission invite minority students for an extended campus visit. The students are mostly from the Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Cincinnati, and Dayton area. Students are paired with a current minority Walsh student in the field that the perspective student intends to study.

Multicultural Student Orientation
The Multicultural Student Orientation aims to start preparing incoming minority students for academic, social, and personal success at Walsh University. Students are introduced to minority faculty members and staff members that have chosen to serve as campus advocates during their years at Walsh University. There is also an introduction into available academic and community resources (Academic Resource Center, Multicultural Academic Services, Office of the Registrar, etc).

Fireside Chats
Collaborating with Multicultural Academic Services, Fireside Chats are informal sessions that provide an opportunity for students to discuss the challenges and successes related to their Walsh University experience. Representatives from a number of Walsh University departments are regularly invited to share important facts about such topics as financial aid, career development, tutoring, and counseling.  Students attending the sessions will gain a wealth of knowledge and an understanding of the tools to succeed academically.

Note: Although Fireside Chats specifically target the University's multi-cultural and international student population, ALL students are invited to attend and participate!

Black Student Union
The Black Student Union addresses the distinct needs of specifically African American, and other  minority students within the Walsh University Community; encourages pride and cultural awareness among these minority students; acquaints fellow Walsh students to the culture and heritage of minority students; helps recruit, and graduate minority students. The Coordinator of Multicultural Affairs advises this student organization, working closely with the elected student leaders to facilitate the leadership development of its members and provide an outlet for student expression and activism.
