Standard Psychology Major (45 semester hours)

14 hours of Psychology Foundations:  Principles of Psychology (PSY 120), Experimental Psychology (PSY 321), Field Observation (BSC 200), Statistics for Behavioral Science (BSC 221), Social Research Methods (SOC 302) . 

18 hours of Core Areas in Psychology:

     Biological Bases (3 hours):  Human Sexuality (PSY 230) ,  Physiological Psychology*(PSY 251), Cognitive Neuropsychology (PSY 302)

     Cognitive and Learning Processes (3 hours):   Priniciples of Learning (PSY 201), Cognitive Processes (PSY 204)

     Social Processes (3 Hours):  Inside the Organization (PSY 240), Psychology in Modern Western Culture (PSY 306), Group Process (PSY 426), Social Psychology (BSC 301).

     Diversity (3 Hours):  Cross-Cultural Psychology (PSY 307), Gender (PSY 310), Social & Cultural Diversity (SOC 205) 

     Developmental Processes (3 Hours):  Human Development Across the Lifespan (PSY 210),  Critical Issues in Child & Adolescent Development (PSY 309), Critical Issues in Adult Development (SOC 314)

     Individual Differences (3 Hours):  Personality (PSY 305), Psychological Testing (PSY 308), Addictions (PSY 340), Abnormal Psychology (PSY 401)

6 Hours of Electives:  Select two courses beyond minimum required from two different core areas

7 Hours Culminating Experiences: Comprehensive Review (PSY 400), Psychology Seminar (PSY 451), Senior Research Project (PSY 460)

3 hours of Biological Bases/Cognitive & Learning Processes/Developmental Processes:  Principles of Learning (PSY 201), Cognitive Processes (PSY 204), Human Development Across the Lifespan (PSY 210),  Physiological Psychology (PSY 251)

3 Hours of Social Process/Biological Bases/Diversity/Individual Differences: Cognitive Neuropsychology (PSY 302) , Personality (PSY 305), Psychology in Modern Western Culture (PSY 306), Cross-Cultural Psychology (PSY 307), Abnormal Psychology (PSY 401)

Electives (9 hrs) may include BSC 301 Social Psychology.  Minors may not take BSC 430 or 440
