West Liberty led from start to finish in picking-up their first win.  The Hilltoppers led 20-3 at halftime, after Walsh wasted numerous first half scoring opportunities.  The Cavs battled back in the second half, as the defense stopped the Hilltoppers cold.  Walsh closed to 20-10, when Dan Kane (Sr., Bolivar, Tusky Valley) connected with Rob Lash (So., Shelby, OH/HS) for a 12-yard score with 5:40 to play in the third period.  Lash, then returned a punt 70 yards for a score on the next possession, but had the return wiped out because of a running into the kicker call.  Walsh cut the lead to three points when Kane hit Lash again, this time for a 49-yard score.  The Cavs would get the ball back two more times, but failed to put together drives to win the game.  Walsh also missed two field goals.
