Sheryl Holt joins the Division of Physical Therapy as a Clinical Professor. Holt brings 25 years of clinical physical therapy experience with her to Walsh, much of which is in the area of pediatric physical therapy. She has worked as a consultant to Akron Children's and Columbus Children's Hospitals and as a Physical Therapy Consultant and Certified Special Educator for various school systems in Ohio including Dublin City, Akron Public and Hudson local schools.
Most recently, Holt directed the Canton City Schools P.T. efforts to educate parents, teachers and peers on the integrated model advanced by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
Holt received her B.S. in Physical Therapy in 1978 from Georgia State University and her M.A. in 1999 from the Ohio State University with majors in Neuropsychology and Pediatric Physical Therapy. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association as an assembly delegate, a researcher and a promoter. |
