Director of Gift Planning – This position is directly responsible for the administration of the Planned Giving Program and capital projects solicitation. Particular focus will be on identifying, cultivating and successfully soliciting new prospects to the University. The Director will collaborate with other members of the Advancement team on special events planning, all other efforts to meet fund raising objectives and goals and will assist in the coordination and development of external committees. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and a minimum of four years direct fundraising experience, preferably in higher education. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to handle multiple projects are a must. Some weekend and evening hours required. Additional qualifications include success in designing, implementing, and administering programs related to fundraising, planned giving, volunteer management, or related fields. A bachelor’s degree is required and the ideal candidate will have financial aid experience, preferably at a professional level. Must also be extremely proficient in Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word. Working knowledge of Banner, EDExpress, EDConnect, NSLDS, HEI, and FAA Access a definite plus. More general, yet equally important requirements include exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
