Nick Stroemple - Graduate Assistant

Nick Stroemple is in his first year as a graduate assistant at Walsh. Nick prepped at North Canton Hoover High School and graduated from the University of Akron, where he received his degree in exercise science.

Nick was a two-time All-Ohio honoree in cross country at Hoover. He also earned All-Federal League and All-Stark County honors three times. He placed 18th at the Ohio Division l State Cross Country Championships as a senior, helping the Vikings to a third place finish.

Stroemple earned four cross country and track letters for the Zips, after redshirting as a freshman. Nick placed fourth in 5000m (14:40.05) at the MAC Track & Field Championships as a freshman and competed in seven cross country meets the same year, and placed 12th at the Buffalo Stampede (27:35) and was the Zips second-highest finisher at the Bowling Green Invitational, finishing 54th (26:22.4). He won the 3,000m at the Al Campbell/Wright Open with personal-record time of 8:46.70.

Nick’s parents are both Walsh grads, and his mother Marcy is member of the Wall of Fame. He is seeking his master’s in education.
