Policy on Student Health Insurance

Walsh University requires all full-time
undergraduate students to have health insurance. Students who do not have health insurance will need to purchase their own policy. Good health is essential to your academic success; adequate insurance can assist you in getting the care you need to maintain your health.

AultCare is once again offering students a comprehensive medical insurance plan; Leonard Insurance Services will continue as our local agent.

Enrollment Process

Voluntary enrollment is open to any Walsh student who is registered with at least six credit hours. The enrollment site will open on August 2, 2010 and can be accessed at www.leonardinsurance.com. Click on Student Health and follow the link to Walsh University. (Additional information/options are also located within that student health link.)

The brochure, with an explanation of benefits for the comprehensive plan, is on the Walsh website and atwww.leonardinsurance.com. Brochures will be available on campus in the Student Affairs Office and in Health Services. For an explanation/clarification on health insurance benefits, please contact the AultCare Service Center at 330-363-6360.

Questions/concerns regarding enrollment and/or insurance options should be directed to Pat Brenckle, with Leonard Insurance Services, at 800-451-1904.

International students must provide their health insurance policy, in English, to the International Student Advisor to ensure federal compliance.
