Student Reflections

Academics > Student Reflections

As a member of the SWATS (Students With An Attitude to Succeed) Team, I have gained some resourceful knowledge over the past 3 years.Joining the team was a great experience.

I was able to use and apply resources as needed to help me with my academic matters. I was able to understand academic advising to a point where I knew how to search and set-up my desired classes for each semester. I obtained information on how to obtain books when I was in a bad financial situation with the help of the Book Loan Program.

It felt good to assist other students to help them find answers to their academic problems. I am proud that I can encourage other students and correctly guide them when it comes to double majors, credit load consideration and making wise decisions.

I really enjoy helping other students and SWATS has been a bridge for me to do so.

Attending the Fireside Chats sessions and being a SWATS (Students With An Attitude to Succeed) Team member, has helped me tremendously. It has given me insight into the culture of Walsh University.

The information provided to me at Fireside Chats helped me understand how to navigate through the Cavalier Center, register for classes on-line and meet caring faculty and staff.

I recommend that everyone attend the sessions to help prepare themselves for any academic challenges they may face.

The food is great too at the sessions!
