Summer Orientation

Welcome to Walsh University! We are thrilled you've chosen to be part of the Walsh University community and look forward to your arrival on campus. Your Walsh experience begins by attending Summer Orientation 2013 – "Tune Into Orientation." Since Orientation is integral to your Walsh experience, attendance is required.

During Summer Orientation, you will connect with Walsh students, faculty in your major, University staff, and your academic advisor. You will also complete any necessary placement testing and participate in a variety of interactive sessions covering Walsh's unique programs and services. Parents are also welcome to participate in Orientation and can attend a variety of programs designed just for them.

To help make your Summer Orientation experience easier, a group of current Walsh students will be there to help you through the day. "Orientation Leaders" are current students who return in the summer just to welcome you to Walsh! These students can answer many of your questions and provide you with practical advice on the college experience.

Placement Testing

During Summer Orientation, students will complete placement testing for math and a foreign language. Nursing majors will take an additional test for chemistry. The results of these tests will be used to create the student's fall 2013 schedule. Remember that these tests have nothing to do with a student's admission to the University. Students attending summer orientation have already been accepted to Walsh!

Students do not need to bring calculators, pencils, etc. These items will be provided. If you require specific accommodations, please contact your admissions counselor 2 weeks prior to your Orientation session.
