UPB Underground

What is the UPB Underground?

The Underground is a group of volunteers who assist the University Programming Board with a variety of campus activities.  The Underground is a subdivision of the executive programming board but is equally important in the success of the events.  They provide feedback and support as well as help with promotions and recruitment.  The UPB Underground will be overseen by the UPB Vice President. 

How do I become a member of the Underground?

Each month, the University Programming Board organizes meetings for students

interested in the program. From that meeting, students can apply to become

members of the group. Students will also be able to sign up for the University

Programming Board Underground at the annual Student Activity Fair during the first

week of Fall Semester or by contacting the Vice President of the University

Programming Board.

What is the UPB Underground Rewards Program? 

 The University Programming Board Rewards Program is designed for members

who meet certain criteria that qualify them to receive rewards for their hard work. 

There are two levels: Maroon and Gold.  Levels are good for one academic year

and Gold Level is limited to the first 12 students who reach criteria.

   Maroon Level Criteria:

 *Assist with four UPB events

 *Attend five UPB events

 *Attend a minimum of two Underground meetings per semester

 Maroon Level Rewards:

*Receive a Maroon Level Certificate

*Receive an official Underground T-Shirt

*Receive $5 off Spring Formal Ticket

*Be granted the opportunity to sign up for events requiring sign-up sheets (i.e.

bowling, pottery, paintball) 24 hours prior to being posted

Gold Level Criteria:

 *Assist with twelve UPB events in addition to helping out with either Walshfest, Lil

Sibs weekend or Spring Formal

 *Attend fifteen UPB events

 *Attend a minimum of two Underground meetings per semester

Gold Level Rewards

 In addition to the Maroon Level Rewards, the individual will: 

 *Receive a Gold Level Certificate

 *Receive free UPB promotion t-shirts and novelty items

 *Receive free admission to all UPB events (includes Spring Formal) 

Recognition is to be made once a month to the UPB Underground member

who has show then most  shown the most leadership and dedication to the

organization. The “Magnificent Mole Award” will be selected by the UPB Board

 and awarded to the individual at the  monthly UPB Underground meeting.
