Walsh University's Institute for Jewish Catholic Studies will present a lecture by Sharon Singer, Director of Public Affairs & Social Media of the Israel Consulate in Philadelphia on Tuesday, November 29 at 7:00 p.m. in the Barrette Conference Room C at Walsh University. Singer will speak on Diplomacy in the Social Media.
Singer specializes in providing communities throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region of the United States with information about Israel through outreach to the Jewish and non-Jewish community, local government, and all organizations interested in learning about the many different aspects of Israel. In addition, Ms. Singer held positions in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), including Commander and Instructor in IDF's first joint officers training course, Head of the Grounds Forces Selection & Classification Desk, Head of Combat Personnel Section - Artillery Corps, and Chief Training and Education Officer for the Strategic Planning & Foreign Relations Division.
She will be joined by Jenny and Oz Naor, Israeli representatives to the Canton and Akron Communities. There will be an open discussion of current events in Israel and the Middle East.
This program is free and open to the public, and is co-sponsored by the Canton Jewish Community Federation.
