Wei Liu is a Physical Therapy Assistant Professor at Walsh University. He joined Walsh in January, 2007. Professor Wei Liu is a current doctoral student at the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science, University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). He received a BS degree in kinesiology from the Beijing Sports University (BSU) in 2000, and received an MS degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Vermont (UVM) in 2003. He has become particularly interested in the issue of bimanual arm reaching movement by using computational neuroscience modeling approach and advanced biomechanics simulation model in order to apply effect of inter-limb interactions to improve functional recovery after stroke. He is a student member of the NASPSPA, ASB, ISEK and ISB. Current academic year teaching responsibilities include PT 615 Biomechanics (Fall 2007), PT 720 Research Method (Summer, 2008), PT 721 Research Proposal (Fall, 2008) , PT 722 Research Project (Spring, 2009) and PT 723 Research Seminar (Summer, 2009)
