Wendi (Schrock) Hudson ('94)

Wendi (Schrock) Hudson ('94) (Smithville HS) ran both cross country and track from 1990-94 and enjoyed a career which earned her All-America honors in three different years.  In 1991, she earned first team Mid-Ohio Conference and District 22 accolades and finished 33rd at the NAIA Nationals.  In 1992, Wendi was again first team All-MOC and earned NAIA All-America honors at the National Cross Country championships.  In 1993, she earned NAIA All-America honors in cross country and track.  Schrock placed 10th at the NAIA National Meet Cross Country Championships and won the MOC, District 22 and All-Ohio Championships.  She earned track NAIA All-America honors in the 10,000m, was a cross country and track NAIA Scholar-Athlete and was selected as Walsh's Female Athlete of the Year.  In 1994, Wendi would earn All-America honors for the fourth consecutive semester, when she finished sixth in the 10,000m (37:20.87) and ninth in the 5,000m (18:18.41).  She was also honored for the fourth straight time as a NAIA Scholar-Athlete and was named Female Athlete of the Year for the second straight year.
