When is your deadline for financial aid?
The scholarships that are available through Walsh University include merit awards, Catholic High School Grant, athletic scholarships, and choir/band scholarships. The merit awards are scholarships given to students based on their academic performance during their high school career. The merit awards range from $5,000 to full-tuition. There are no deadlines for these particular scholarships; they are decided as soon as the application process has been completed. Walsh also offers competitive scholarships for students who have demonstrated high academic standards during high school. These students are invited to compete for a full-tuition scholarship and to participate in Walsh's Honors Program. Students who are eligible may receive an athletic scholarship. The amount that the athletes can obtain will be at the discretion of the Coach. All other grants are based on information from the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Walsh recommends students complete the FAFSA as close to January 1st as possible so they do not miss out on federal aid that they may qualify for. Walsh students are also eligible to receive scholarships for the University Chorale and the newly-launched marching band.
