Prepares contemporary Christian leaders for the challenges of ministering in a changing world

Answering the Call to Serve

It's possibly the only calling in which one is required to serve in order to lead. A theology-based profession demands a dedication to God's plan and an uncompromising willingness to help others. The Walsh University Master of Arts in Theology program prepares contemporary Christian leaders for the challenges of ministering in a changing world…a world in which the need for pastoral leadership extends beyond the boundaries of the church building.

The Walsh Master of Arts in Theology Program Offers Four Options:

  • Parish Administration Concentration
  • Pastoral Ministry Concentration
  • Religious Education Concentration
  • Academic, non-terminal degree (provides a stepping stone to pursuing a Ph.D.)

In addition, Walsh offers a Lay Ecclesial Leadership Certificate for laypeople seeking to support the life of the church.

Whether you are currently in ministry or have recently been called to give back in the form of service, the Master of Arts in Theology program will prepare you to take your faith into the community and the world. Through our graduate theology program, we help our students turn theory into practice and respond effectively to today's spiritual needs.
