SAA Student Bios



Michaela Rogers ’19, Nursing

Michaela is a senior Nursing student here at Walsh, part of the Blouins Global Scholars Program. She loves to travel and is still discerning which nursing specialization she wants to pursue. She has been to Rome and Uganda with Walsh, and plans to travel to Haiti in the Spring. Outside of SAA, she is part of the CRUX ministry on campus and works at the House of Loreto Nursing Home. After graduating in the spring, she hopes to be employed somewhere in Canton.


Andrew Lawton '19, Accounting

Andrew is the second of the Senior leadership in SAA. He is involved in the CFA stock evaluation challenge currently, and a former lacrosse player at Walsh. He recently interned with the Cleveland Clinic, and is working for the Kenan Advantage Group during his last year here. After graduation, Andrew is excited to move into public accounting and get his CPA, or into corporate finance.


Hannah Broniszewski '20, Nursing

Hannah is a Nursing student here from Pittsburgh, with a minor in Spanish for Healthcare. Like Alex, she is involved in many things on campus, ranging from JV Soccer, to Chamber Choir, to being the Vice President of the Nursing Club and a member of Blouin Leaders in Social Justice. She is truly a nurse at heart, hoping to become a neonatal nurse practitioner. She currently works at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, as a patient care technician.


Alex Branham '20, Accounting

Alex is the SAA Treasurer, hoping to get a degree in Accounting. He is currently an intern in the Finance Dept. at Walsh, as well as doing many other things on campus like Blouin Global Scholars, Campus Ministry, Brotherhood, Business Club, and much more. He hopes to graduate from Walsh and get an MBA, then go on to get his CPA and find a job with a non-profit organization.


Laura O'Meara '20, History, Government and Foreign Affairs, Philosophy

Laura is a member of the Honors program along with her three majors. She is highly ambitious, hoping to be a Supreme Court Justice one day. To accomplish this goal, she hopes to graduate from Walsh and attend Georgetown Law School, and become a prosecutor. Laura is currently looking for internships in the legal field, and is willing to travel to Washington D.C., Chicago, Cleveland, or other cities in order to find one.


Lindsey Craft '21, International Relations, Government and Foreign Affairs

Lindsey is passionate about international politics and hopes to work either abroad or in Washington D.C. However, she is open to all opportunities, hoping that here experience at Walsh University will help her explore various career options.  Along with her International Relations major, she hopes to one day attend Law School.

Annie Shvach '20, Interdisciplinary Major, focus in Sustainability in Business

Annie is a passionate woman with a penchant for helping others. She is a Blouin Global Scholar, a member of the Sustainability Club and the UFWH Counsel. She hopes to join the Peace Core after graduation, working internationally with non-profit organizations to promote sustainability.

Nathaniel Chwalik '21, Graphic Design, Marketing 

Nathaniel is a Blouin Global Scholar, with a wide variety of interests. He is deeply involved on campus, being on the University Programming Board and in Education Club. He is a wedding videographer during the summer, and a soccer player during the school year. He has high aspirations, hoping to start a marketing firm with his brother after graduation. Nathaniel is currently looking for internships, and is willing to travel to different cities.

Daniel Liebler '20, Accounting 

Daniel has an impressive resume, being homeschooled in New York before he came here to Walsh. He has a passion for accounting, and hopes to continue doing what he loves with an internship in the North Canton area. One day, he hopes to move to Buffalo, NY, and settle down as an accountant.

Kaili Kashiwaeda '20, Biology, Pre-Physical Therapy

Kaili is the perfect blend of scholar and athlete, being in the direct-entry Physical Therapy program along with being on the JV women's soccer team. She teaches Sunday school, and volunteers extensively. She will soon be traveling to Rome with her Blouin cohort, and hopes to continue traveling throughout her life. Kaili is vastly skilled, and while her interests lie in Physical Therapy she is also a Marketing Lead for the Career Center.

Meghan Skrypka ’19, Environmental Science, Analytical Chemistry, Applied Biology

Meghan is a senior Environmental Science major, Analytical Chemistry major, and Applied Biology major at Walsh, with a minor in Government and Foreign Affairs. She works with Walsh Phone-a-thon, and is a part of the Blouin Global Scholars Program, the Women's Lacrosse team, Sigma Zeta Science and Mathematics National Honor Society, and Student Government. Meghan is seeking an internship involving Sustainable Agriculture, and hopes to continue her education at the graduate level.

 Andrew Zmecek '20, Education, Theology, Philosophy

 Andy is a sophomore from Cleveland majoring in Education, Theology, and Philosophy. He is Cavalier Guide, giving tours to prospective students and their families, and works in the Career Readiness and Development Center. Additionally, he is a Blouin Leader for Social Justice. Andy is looking at getting his masters in Theology at Walsh, and then going to Cleveland's Borromeo / St. Mary's Seminary.
