How They Met:
"We met at Walsh, while on a spring break missions trip with Sister Carol and Father Don to Harlan, KY with about 10 other students. Sister Carol called me the day before the trip. I was not signed up to go. She asked me if I would please consider going...and when a nun calls you to do something, you can't say no, so I packed my bags and I went in a van for 10 hours with a priest, a nun and 10 other college kids, and on that trip, we talked, laughed and learned we shared a passion for teaching and a passion for helping others.
We started dating when we got back to North Canton, and did everything together from then on! We ran a program called STARS in downtown Canton, we organized the Education club to do all we could, and we even won awards together for service with the kids in that program. "
Where Are They Now?:
"We got married in December 2002, and have been married for 13 years. We have 4 kids, ages 10, 8, 5 and 3. Lisa is a special education teacher for students with Autism and multiple disabilities in Aurora City Schools in grades 1 and 2. Eric is a stay at home dad, and the best dad I could imagine for our kids. He writes children's books in his "spare time" (after everyone is in bed!) and does school visits about being an author.
We met at Walsh, fell in love and still always talk about how we will take our kids back there and share our story with them as they get older."
