My time at Walsh has been interesting to say the least. I never imagined I would change my major, be co-president of an organization, write a book, get a job doing something I love, and all while being a full time student. |

Skills gained through the study of Finance can translate into a variety of career fields in the private, public and nonprofit sectors. Students graduating from Walsh University's Finance program will be prepared to begin working in a business firm or financial services, or to enter a graduate program.
A wide range of experiential learning opportunities, including Walsh's Student Managed Investment Portfolio (SMIP) and CFA student investment team, offer students real-world applications of the coursework.
Major: Finance
Through my involvement at Walsh, I have been introduced to incredible people such as Scott Glasgow, the Founder of FinMango, a nonprofit dedicated to eliminating financial illiteracy from the planet. Shortly after my first meeting with Scott, he offered me a position with the organization and since then I have been working with them, teaching financial literacy. Three weeks after I joined the company, I went with them to Harvard for a financial inclusion conference. It was incredible to be able to meet some of the brightest minds in the industry.
Walsh's newly designed Finance curriculum was developed after careful research of peer institutions and conversations with industry professionals in order to discern skills required of a modern Finance major. The result is a curriculum consistent with current market conditions.
