Michele Tilstra, OTD, OTR/L, CHT is the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and Clinical Assistant Professor for the Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) program. She earned a BS in Occupational Therapy from Louisiana State University Medical Center of New Orleans in 1995 and her post-professional OTD degree from Rocky Mountain University of Healthcare Professions in August, 2018. She obtained her certified hand therapy (CHT) credential from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission in 2002. She has been licensed by the state of Ohio as an Occupational Therapist since 1995 and has practiced in a variety of settings including Acute Care, Rehab, Skilled Nursing, Outpatient, Hand Therapy, and Home Health. She joined Walsh University as a fulltime faculty member in 2018 to coordinate, oversee, and evaluate the fieldwork components of the program in addition to teaching. She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the Ohio Occupational Therapy Association (OOTA).
