Music is the aesthetic organization of sound and silence in time. Most music includes melody, rhythm, or harmony, or combinations of all three. Music is both intensively communicative and highly spiritual.

Why Walsh?

  • Quality Instruction. Students will study with critically acclaimed performers, accomplished conductors, and quality pastoral musicians.
  • Established Ensemble Programs. Students will participate in growing, vibrant choral and instrumental ensembles that enjoy a variety of meaningful performance experiences. Students may choose to participate in the Choral program or the Walsh University Band
  • Music in Modern Culture. This innovative program concentration will suit students that wish to study the history and legacy of contemporary popular music including Jazz and Rock and Roll.
  • Catholic Identity. Walsh becomes one of the few small Catholic institutions in the region to offer a Music Major.

In addition, students have the option to enroll in Walsh's new 4+1 Program for non-business majors who would like to supplement their bachelor's degree with an MBA. Through the program, students simultaneously earn undergraduate and graduate credit for Walsh's MBA Prep Series courses, saving both time and money as students pursue their advanced degree.
