Walsh University has appointed Aron Kitzmiller as director of marketing effective August 3, 2015. Kitzmiller brings more than 10 years of marketing experience to this position including leadership roles in the development and implementation of strategic marketing campaigns, communications plans and advertising initiatives.
Reporting to the vice president of marketing and communications, Kitzmiller will be responsible for the planning, execution, tracking and analysis of University-wide marketing strategies, including the coordination of all advertising for Walsh’s schools, divisions and community programs.
Kitzmiller will also serve as the University’s primary media buyer for advertising and project manager for Walsh marketing collateral such as brochures, flyers, special event promotion, online initiatives, social media and sponsorship marketing.
Aron Kitzmiller joins Walsh from the Synergy Consulting Group in Uniontown, Ohio, where he has served as the director of marketing since 2013. During his tenure at Synergy, Kitzmiller’s responsibilities included the coordination of internal/external communications, website development/management, social media initiatives, brand management, community relations and marketing plan conception.
Prior to Synergy, Kitzmiller held the position of account supervisor, project manager at Innis Maggiore Ad Agency where he oversaw the account management and creative concept development for international, national, regional and nonprofit agency clients. From 2007 to 2012, Kitzmiller served as the director of marketing for Westfield Corporation where he executed all advertising, public relations, social media development, budget management and special event coordination for the Westfield Belden Village Mall. He began his career at the Aultman Health Foundation in 2001 and held the positions of AultCare communications coordinator and recruitment coordinator for the Aultman Blood Center.
His extensive community service includes executive board member since 2011 and current president of the Board for Siffrin, ystark! executive committee Twenty Under 40 chair and marketing chair from 2011-2013, Buddy Walk of North Canton Planning Committee since 2011, AultCare FastBreak Breakfast Committee co-chair from 2007-2012, and board member of the Canton Advertising Federation from 2008-2010. Kitzmiller also enjoys recreational softball, kickball and dodgeball.
Aron Kitzmiller earned his MBA in Integrated Marketing Communications from Walsh University and his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Cincinnati.
