The Celebration of the Life and Legacy of Mother Teresa will be held in the Barrette Business and Community Center. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is preferred as seating is limited. Register online at www.walsh.edu/motherteresa. For questions, please contact Molly Romano at 330.490.7581 or mromano@walsh.edu.

This special celebration will commemorate the Wednesday, June 23, 1982, visit by Mother Teresa to Walsh’s campus in North Canton. During her stay, she spoke to approximately 4,000 people in Canton and was awarded a Walsh University Honorary Doctorate of Human Services by Walsh’s third President, Brother Francis Blouin, F.I.C.

With the canonization of Mother Teresa by Pope Francis on September 4, 2016, Walsh University has become one of a select number of Catholic universities in the world that can count a Saint among its alumni.

Support for this event has been provided by J.W. Didado Electric, Gary & Rhonda Didado, and Tyler & Danielle Hysell.
