Marketing Vice President Teresa Fox Honored by National Sales & Marketing Executives

Teresa Fox, Vice President for Marketing and Communications, was recently honored with a "best of the best" Accent on Excellence marketing award at the 45th Annual National Sales & Marketing Executives awards ceremony on February 28. Criteria for award winners include civic engagement, professional experience, and demonstrated performance. During the ceremony, Fox was presented her award by Walsh University Provost and Academic Vice President Douglas Palmer, Ph.D.

Under Fox’s leadership, the Walsh University marketing department has grown exponentially in the past 11 years, outputting 12 publications annually, and bringing all marketing and communications support in-house including social media, advertising, event marketing, and all print collateral. Under her direction, her team manages a workflow of an average of 500+ marketing projects per year from various audience constituencies within the University.

Walsh appointed Teresa Fox to the newly created position of Vice President for Marketing and Communications in 2014. Fox previously served Walsh as the Assistant Vice President of University Relations and brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to her position including various roles in the corporate sector prior to joining Walsh as Director of Marketing in 2005.

In her role as Vice President, Fox provides leadership for integrated University marketing strategies and promotional activities of the University’s Office of Integrated Marketing and Communications. Her responsibilities include the management of the marketing budget, research, strategic planning, brand management, internal/external communication strategies, University marketing publications, web and social media sites, community partnerships and University photography.

Prior to joining Walsh, Fox worked in marketing and advertising for both the nonprofit and profit sectors in South Carolina and California with such clients at the Savannah Economic Development Authority, Bombardier Business Aircraft, Sears, and Sony.

Teresa Fox served on the board of the North Canton Chamber of Commerce from 2007-2013, and also served as a board member for the American Advertising Federation (AAF), Canton Chapter. She is an active member of the American Marketing Association, PRSA Akron Chapter, and AAF Canton. Fox is a graduate of Miami University and spent four years of high school at the American International School of Luxembourg before returning to her hometown of Green, OH.
