On November 17, 1960, Walsh's seven founding Brothers officially welcomed the first incoming class of sixty-seven gentlemen students to, then, Walsh College. Each year, the entire Walsh community celebrates that special day with Founders’ Week activities in honor of the University’s founders, the Brothers of Christian Instruction.
