Walsh University will host a free and interactive SCIENCE DAY for high school juniors, seniors and their families, on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 am to 4 pm. Check-in will take place in the Timken Natural Science Center (TNSC) Lobby. The first session of the day will be held in TNSC Room 108.
NEW: All in attendance will be considered for a $1,000 scholarship.
Lunch and snacks will be provided. There is no cost to attend this event, however space is limited. Registration is required by Nov. 7 and available online at walsh.edu/scienceday.
During the event, students will have an opportunity to work one-on-one with members of Division of Mathematics and Sciences to:
- Conduct experiments with Walsh University professors
- Hear from leading experts in their fields including a NASA Materials Scientist
- Interact with Walsh science major students and hear about their amazing research
- Explore Science Careers and learn what you can do with a Degree in Science

In July, Walsh was awarded its first National Science Foundation (NSF) grant for almost $600,000 to fund scholarships for students interested in pursuing the field of chemistry. Through the grant, Walsh will award 16 four-year scholarships, ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 per year, for students interested in pursuing a degree in chemistry.
