Walsh University was named one of the 50 Best Accelerated BSN Programs for 2018by the online organization GeriatricNursing.org. Walsh’s Byers School of Nursing was ranked No. 39 out of 170 national programs. Rankings were determined by The National Center for Education Statistics data.

GeriatricNursing.org looked at various factors such as locations, variety of programs and other features to attract students. The comprehensive list included time required to complete, academic standards, basic education costs, required clinical experience and advanced degree options.

With a worldwide shortage of active nurses in the field today, Walsh is making every effort to advance its BSN nursing degree program to accommodate the progress of tomorrow's nurses. Often equated to a second degree program, Walsh’s accelerated nursing degree track is open to individuals who already have a bachelor's degree (of any kind) who wish to pursue a career in nursing. Students can earn their accelerated BSN degree in as little as 15 months.

WALSH ACCELERATED BSN PROGRAM BENEFITS:

  • No lab fees
  • Reduced tuition cost (including pre-requisite courses)
  • Small class sizes

Applications for admission are accepted year round. Enrollment for each cohort begins annually in May. For more information, contact Assistant Director of Graduate Admission Karen Pergola at 330-490-7399 or kpergola@walsh.edu.
