Walsh University has appointed Carl A. Musille ’82 as Director of Development.
A long-time supporter of Walsh, Musille brings more than 30 years of corporate experience and community involvement to his role as Walsh’s Director of Development.
In his new position, Musille will report directly to Vice President for University Advancement Eric Belden. . He will be responsible for the creation and execution of major gift fundraising plans for capital and endowment gifts to the University. In addition, he will oversee the Walsh Advisory Board and the Brother Thomas S. Farrell Heritage Society. Named after Walsh's first president, the Brother Thomas S. Farrell Heritage Society recognizes donors who have chosen to support the University through planned gifts. Gifts to support the University via planned giving may include wills, charitable trusts, gift annuities, life insurance, endowed scholarships or other estate planning arrangements.
"As a former student, active alumnus and dedicated champion of Walsh University, Carl brings a wealth of institutional knowledge, professional experience and community leadership to his new role within our Advancement Office," said Eric Belden, Vice President of Advancement. "We are happy and proud to welcome both Carl and his wife Kim, also a 1982 alum, back home to Walsh."
Musille joins Walsh University after retiring from The Timken Company where he most recently served as Manager - Purchasing of the Resale Products Team. In this role, Musille managed the purchasing activities for all resale products, package bearings and rail products. His team was responsible for all sourcing and supplier management of these global commodities.

"The advancements at Walsh since my wife and I graduated in 1982 have been unprecedented. I look forward to contributing to the continued growth and development of the University I proudly call my alma mater."
Musille has served in a number of roles of increasing importance throughout his 33-year career with Timken. From 2003 until 2010, he served as manager of sourcing services and indirect materials and general manager of indirect and service technology. Prior to that, he served in management roles in corporate IT, including start up responsibilities for Timken’s IT center in Bangalore, India, and the Specialty Tooling and Rebuild Business. In his earlier time at Timken, he served as senior purchasing agent, senior buyer, senior business analyst, auditor and programmer/analyst. Musille joined the company in 1982 as an accountant.
Musille is involved in numerous community organizations, including The United Way, the Ohio-Erie Canalway Association, the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges and the food pantry at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist parish in Canton. Musille holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Walsh University.
Carl and his wife, Kimberly Kauslick Musille ’82, reside in Canton, OH. Together they have three children, Paul, Ryan and Angela.
