Walsh University has announced the appointment of alumna Stephanie (Knori) Koontz ’08 as Director of Alumni Relations.

As Director of Alumni Relations, Koontz will serve the University’s growing network of 22,000+ alumni and friends worldwide. As director, she will work closely with members of the campus community, the alumni board and the student alumni association to build upon the excellent foundation already established in Walsh’s alumni relations outreach.

Koontz is a proud alumna of Walsh University and has supported her alma mater in a number of ways over the years, including participation in the annual Professor for a Day program. She brings eight years of experience to this position in development, volunteer management, event planning and community outreach. Koontz joins Walsh from the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank where she was responsible for directing major fundraising campaigns such as the annual Harvest for Hunger and leading the efforts to manage 12,000 volunteers annually.

"We are excited to have Stephanie join the Advancement Office team to further our alumni engagement initiatives and build our alumni volunteer programming," said Vice President of Advancement Eric Belden. "Her professional experience and personal knowledge of Walsh University as a student and alumna will be important assets in fulfilling the outreach efforts of the alumni office."

Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Corporate Communications from Walsh in 2008. She and her husband, Jason, reside in Copley.
