Walsh University has announced that Bryan Badar has been appointed Dean of Students. Badar has served the Walsh community as Assistant Dean of Students and Chief Conduct Officer since 2011.
Reporting to Vice President of Student Affairs Amy Malaska, Badar will oversee daily operations of Walsh University’s Office of Student Affairs, including the areas of Student Conduct, Residence Life, Student Activities, Orientation, International Programs and Intramurals.
"I am truly humbled with the opportunity to serve as the Dean of Students at Walsh University," said Dean Badar. "It has been a tremendous blessing to be part of the Walsh community for many years, and I am very much looking forward to helping to further develop a transformational experience for our students."
Bryan Badar has been a member of the Walsh community for almost 20 years, beginning as an undergraduate student in 1999 and administrator in 2004. With more than 13 years of student affairs expertise, Bryan was named Assistant Dean of Students and Chief Conduct Officer in 2011. As Assistant Dean of Students, Badar was also the Chief Housing Officer and Chief Judicial Officer, overseeing Student Conduct and the comprehensive Residence Life program, which included the establishment of programs and services that fostered respect, dignity and collegiality among residential students, in unison with the ethics and spirit of the University's Mission Statement.
He began his career as Walsh’s Graduate Hall Coordinator in 2004 and has been appointed to various positions of increased responsibility from 2004-2011, including Director of Residence Life and First-Year Institute Program Director.
Bryan Badar received both his Bachelor's Degree in Education and his Master's Degree in Counseling and Human Development from Walsh University.
