Director of Operations


Mr. Scott Haws has called Stark County his home since 1977 being a lifelong resident to the area. Mr. Haws is the Director of Operations for J. Bowers Construction. Mr. Haws professional career has included him serving in a number of capacities from Sales, Service Operations and Planning to Project Management and Director of Operations since January 2000.

Scott's education background includes being a graduate of the 2017 FBI Citizens Academy, Cleveland Division, Kent State University (Bachelors in Finance 1999), Walsh University (Masters of Business Administration 2006), Leadership Stark County Signature Program 2007 & Government Academy (2008), Dale Carnegie Graduate and Six Sigma Green Belt Certified Graduate/Black Belt Trained.

Scott is an avid community volunteer with a passion and insatiable desire to serve and to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Mr. Haws’ has the ability to bring others together, to work for the greater good. Through smart stewardship and community involvement he displays what others would view as a strong commitment to community and mission to make Stark County a better place.

Mr. Haws currently serves as Vice President of The Stark County Township Association where he has been an active member since 2009, is a member of the Stark County Regional Planning Commission, the Ohio Township Association, Executive Committee member to the Stark County Council of Governments (SCOG), Member of the Rotary Club of Plain Township and Board of Directors Member for the North Canton YMCA.

Mr. Haws has served as past Vice President Board of Directors for Diebold Federal Credit Union, Chair of the YStark! Professional Development Series, Chairman of the Plain TWP Bicentennial Cruise In Car Show, North Canton Jaycees Member, Leadership Stark County Justice Day Committee Member, Former Walsh Alumni Board of Directors, YStark! Inaugural Twenty under 40 Award Recipient, 2017 recipient of the 30 Faces of Leadership award, 2017 Finalist Kent State University Alumni Distinguished Citizen Award and Member of Faith Family Church.
