International Student’s Application Deadline
Walsh University has a rolling admissions policy with multiple start dates throughout the year. International students are advised to submit all their application documents a minimum of 4 weeks prior to the application start term. We recommend that international students apply as early as possible for their intended start term to allow time for arrival requirements.
International Student’s Education Level
New freshmen applicants must finish secondary school in their home country by the time of enrollment to be eligible for university. A student who has previously enrolled in more than one semester of post-secondary institution after secondary school completion is required to apply as a transfer student.

International Student’s GPA Requirement
Freshmen and Transfer applicants must meet the minimum requirement of a 2.0 GPA or higher on a U.S. 4.0 GPA scale. Some special programs may have higher requirements. Check with your admissions counselor for more information.
English Language Proficiency
All international students who do not reside in an English speaking or who have not attended a U.S. or IB school for at least 2 years must submit meet one of the following requirements:
- TOEFL iBT: 62
- IELTS Academic and IELTS Indicator: 5.5
- Duolingo: 95
- SAT: a minimum of 500 evidence-based reading and writing
- ACT: a minimum of 21 in English

Transfer Admissions Process
- Complete a free online application
- Prepare application documents
- Secondary School Transcripts and any Secondary School Exams (Certified English translation and original language)
- English Language Proficiency test scores or successful completion of an ENG 101 course or equivalent or higher
- All post-secondary up to date transcripts *non-U.S. transcripts must be officially evaluated by an approved evaluation service. WES and SpanTran are both acceptable services. Students using SpanTran can receive a discount by clicking the SpanTran link above.
- Any additional documentation as required by your admissions counselor
- Submit application documents
- Send all required documentation to intladmissions@walsh.edu. Documents scanned as PDF files are strongly preferred.

- For admissions purposes, we accept scanned documents of international credentials and official U.S. credentials. When admitted, an applicant’s official transcript must be sent to or brought to the Office of Admissions before the end of a student’s first semester or a student’s account will be put on hold.
