U.S. News & World Report Names Walsh MAED Among Best Online Programs

U.S. News & World Report has named Walsh University’s Master of Arts in Education (MAED) online program as one of its best for 2020. Walsh’s MAED program was ranked high enough to earn a place on the list of badge-eligible programs and therefore the right to be called a U.S. News Best Online Program. Out of the 300 programs evaluated nationally, Walsh is the highest ranked program in Northeast Ohio.

“This is a testament to the strong commitment of our Walsh University Education faculty,” said Division of Education Chair Jean Defazio, Ph.D. “We care for and support every student enrolled in our education programs as well as the P-12 children we impact by this programming.”

U.S. News award badges are widely recognized as symbols of education excellence. They cannot be displayed without official permission, and can only be obtained from Wright’s Media, U.S. News’s exclusive licensing agent. Walsh University’s MAED program addresses the needs of educators in their own journeys as lifelong learners. Candidates work with other teachers in an environment that promotes learning from each other. Working with faculty with expertise in the P-12 environment, candidates will extend their knowledge of providing better instruction for their students. The program provides resources and growth opportunities for counselors, administrators and other school personnel.

The MAED program was also recently honored nationally by Colleges of Distinction for implementation of high-impact educational practices.
