Walsh Named a Top College for 2021 by U.S. News and World Report


Walsh University has once again been recognized as one of the top universities in the Midwest by U.S. News and World Report, the recognized leader in college, graduate school and hospital rankings.

For 2021, Walsh University moved up in the ranking list to No. 39 from No. 46 in 2020. The Midwest Regional category includes institutions from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin. The U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings, now in their 36th year, assesses 1,452 U.S. bachelor's degree-granting institutions on 17 measures of academic quality. The data used in these rankings pertain to fall 2019 and earlier. Consequently, the COVID-19 pandemic could not impact the data schools submitted to U.S. News. Nonetheless, to account for the huge disruption to higher education, we re-introduced test-blind schools in the rankings and placed reduced emphasis in the rankings on admissions data and alumni giving data, described below. Along with the U.S. News and World Report, Walsh University was also earned additional national and local honors this fall.

For the second consecutive year, Walsh University was voted the winner of the 2020 Best of the Best, Stark County College/University, during the Canton Repository's annual community choice awards.

Walsh University has been recognized nationally for its affordability and return on investment by the leading school search platform, Niche, in its 2021 Best Colleges in America rankings.
