Walsh University Welcomes New Director of Admissions

Walsh University appointed Eric Young, Ph.D. as the Director of Admissions, overseeing the operations of the Office of Admissions for undergraduate and transfer enrollment.  In this role he is responsible for management of all aspects of recruitment strategies and planning.

Dr. Young is a 2010 graduate of Bowling Green State University where he received a degree in Adolescent-to-Young Adult (AYA) Education. After a year teaching high school history, Young went into higher education as a hall director at the University of Mount Union while pursuing an M.Ed. from Kent State University. Most recently he served as the Director of Admission at Mount Union and received his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration in August 2021.

During his time at Mount Union, Young started in admissions in 2013 and gained a lot of experience across the recruitment and enrollment process that he is excited to use to help support and lead the admissions team in his new position at Walsh University.

“We welcome Eric to Walsh and we’re excited for him to join our Admissions team,” said Vice President for Enrollment Management Rebecca Coneglio.  “The expertise he brings to Admissions will allow us build on the recruitment strategies we have created this year to achieve the enrollment goals of the university.”
