Ukraine Prayer Service and Panel Discussion

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has abruptly transformed the world.  In response, countries around the globe are uniting to provide critical humanitarian support to the Ukrainian people.

Walsh University invites the community to join us in in solidarity as we offer a prayer for peace and justice for Ukraine and host a panel discussion to learn more about the history of Russia-Ukraine relations and the current and projected global impacts of this war.

Walsh will welcome special guest Fr. Vsevolod Shevchuk from Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church and offer a prayer service led by Walsh University Chaplain, Father Thomas Cebula.

The panel, moderated by Walsh University President Tim Collins, Retired Senior Officer, United States Air Force, includes Dr. Bill Davis, Associate Professor, Government and Foreign Affairs; Dr. Rachel Constance, Associate Professor, History; Philip Kopatz ‘19, former Ukrainian resident and current graduate student of Eastern European studies; and Elizabeth Kaplan, 1993 Ukrainian refugee.

Admission to the Toot Global Learning Center on March 17 at 5 p.m. is free and open to the public.  Please RSVP at www.walsh.edu/ukraine.
