Walsh University Welcomes New Director of the Walsh Fund

Walsh University appointed Sara Myers as the Director of the Walsh Fund, joining the Advancement and Alumni Relations team.  In this role, Myers will oversee the annual giving program while cultivating relationships with internal and external constituents to build support for Walsh University.

“We are delighted to welcome Sara to our team and look forward to working with her to take the Walsh Fund to the next level,” said Vice President for Advancement and Alumni Relations Eric Belden. “Support to the Walsh Fund makes the Walsh experience possible, and Sara’s background and expertise will help the University not only achieve its goals but also better serve our students.”

Coming to Walsh from the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, Myers is a 2010 graduate of John Carroll University where she received a degree in Communications.  While there, she held an internship with the Director of Development at LifeBanc, Northeast Ohio’s only non-profit organ and tissue recovery organization, an experience that solidified her decision to pursue a career in both non-profit work and the art of raising funds.

“I’m excited to be working at Walsh University and look forward to tackling the challenge of ‘leveling up’ the Walsh Fund,” Myers said.  “I’ve already had the opportunity to meet some really great people and can’t wait to get to know the many others that make Walsh University the great place that it is.”

Myers resides in North Canton with her husband, Mike, two daughters, Amelia and Isabella, and their dog, Boomer.
