Earn a Dual Degree with the Accredited DeVille School of Business BA/MBA
Walsh University’s 4+1 Bachelor’s Degree & MBA Program gives motivated undergraduate students from any major the opportunity to complete both a bachelor’s degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in as little as five years. This accelerated pathway allows eligible students to begin MBA coursework during their senior year, saving time, reducing tuition costs, and preparing graduates for advanced leadership roles across industries.
Admissions Requirements
To be considered for admission to the 4+1 Bachelor’s Degree & MBA Program, applicants must:
- Hold a minimum 3.50 cumulative undergraduate GPA
- Be enrolled at Walsh University with junior-class status (60 earned credits) at the time of application
Transfer students may apply if they will complete at least 64 undergraduate credits at Walsh University and will also require:
- Completed MBA application (separate from undergraduate admissions application)
- Official undergraduate university transcript
- Two letters of reference (one letter from the student’s high school college counselor or teacher (business teacher preferred) and one letter from a university faculty member from the undergraduate institution)
- Completion of an in-person interview with the MBA Director
Progression Requirements
By the end of junior year (60 earned credits), students must maintain a minimum 3.50 undergraduate GPA to remain eligible for senior-year MBA courses.
Students who meet this progression requirement may take up to four MBA courses during their senior year (beginning at 90 earned credits). Falling below the required GPA disqualifies students from taking MBA coursework while classified as undergraduates.
Senior-Year MBA Coursework
Eligible students may take up to four MBA core courses during their senior year. These courses count toward both undergraduate elective requirements and the MBA degree:
- MBA 621 – Sustainable Ethical Leadership
- MBA 622 – Organizational Behavior & Communication
- MBA 624 – Marketing Management
- MBA 626 – Applied Organizational Research & Analysis
Required Courses by Major
Eligible business majors complete MBA coursework during their senior year that applies toward both undergraduate elective requirements and the MBA degree. To receive graduate credit, students must earn a B– or higher in each course.

- MBA 621 – Sustainable Ethical Leadership
- MBA 626 – Applied Organizational Research & Analysis
Finance Majors

Management Majors

Senior-year MBA courses are billed at the undergraduate tuition rate. After earning the bachelor’s degree, students receive a 25% tuition discount on all remaining MBA coursework.
Note: MBA 600 – Business Foundations is required only for students whose academic background does not include foundational business coursework. Academic advisors will confirm whether MBA 600 is required as part of the student’s degree plan.

Graduation & MBA Matriculation
After completing all undergraduate degree requirements and meeting all MBA progression standards, students transition from undergraduate to graduate student status and continue in the MBA Program. Upon earning the bachelor’s degree, students receive a 25% tuition discount on all remaining MBA coursework.
Students who have completed MBA coursework but have not fulfilled all undergraduate requirements will be placed in provisional MBA status until all undergraduate requirements are met.
Undergraduate & Graduate Policies
While an undergraduate, students follow all university undergraduate policies. After matriculating into the MBA Program, all graduate and DeVille School of Business MBA policies apply.
