Dear Walsh Community,

We look forward to welcoming you back from spring break.  As you prepare for your return, we are asking for your support with participating in important prevention efforts with keeping our campus community healthy.

Out of an abundance of caution for the safety and health of our campus community, Walsh University is directing any faculty, staff or students who have been in close contact with a person who has a confirmed case of COVOD-19 to self-monitor off campus for 14 days.  After that time, University Health Services will screen the individual(s) prior to their return to campus.  If you find yourself in this situation, first contact your health care provider.  Second, please notify Walsh University:

Student contact:   Bryan Badar, Associate Vice-President for Student Affairs/Dean of Students | bbadar@walsh.edu | (330) 490-7417

Employee contact:  Frank McKnight, Director of Human Resources | fmcknight@walsh.edu | (330) 490-7226

We want to reiterate that our campus is currently safe and there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on the Walsh University campus.

COVID-19 - University Open Forum

Walsh University will hold an open forum for our campus community at 4:00pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in the Barrette Business and Community Center to answer your questions about COVID-19, prevention practices and university preparation.

Participate in Health Prevention Strategies:

According to the guidance provided by the Center for Disease Control and the Ohio Department of Health, the most important thing our community can be doing at this time is to practice simple strategies to prevent the spread of germs:

  • Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds.
  • Clean surfaces such as door knobs, remote controls, cell phones frequently.
  • Do not touch your eyes, nose, and mouth with your bare hands.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, then throw the tissue away.
  • Stay away from people who are sick.
  • If you are ill or become ill, stay at home
