Dr. Daniel Passerini is the Executive Director of Cross Enterprise Operations at Walsh University and a 1994 alumnus. He has a rich background, with over 30 years of experience in various industries, including scientific research, corporate training, oil and gas, drug development, and logistics. Since joining Walsh in 2018, Dr. Passerini has generated significant funding through grants, donations and revenue generating operations in key areas of the university’s strategic development plan.
Dr. Passerini expands offerings for adult learners, builds strategic relationships, and generates revenue to support innovative initiatives. He has worked closely with key university stakeholders and community partners responsible for strategic university initiatives including the expansion of the science capabilities through the Center for Scientific Excellence and launching the nationally recognized Skilled Tech Workforce (STWF) program. Dr. Passerini holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Walsh and a Doctorate of Biochemistry from The University of Akron.
Dr. Passerini has also developed Walsh University’s IGNITE Innovation Hub project, a transformative initiative that finds the intersection of innovation, entrepreneurship and workforce development. The project is being built by leveraging the successes of four pillars of strength at the university:
