Admissions Requirements
- Must be age 21 or older (Interested students under age 21, please inquire about the appeal process.)
- Transfer 12 or more credit hours from a regionally accredited school (ask if you will be transferring less)
- 2.0 GPA or higher overall
- 2.75 GPA in pre-requisite coursework (listed below)
- Applicants will be reviewed by the Byers School of Nursing Admissions Committee

- Complete FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at studentaid.gov, use Walsh’s school code: 003135
- Review Degree Plan, Financial Aid and Enroll!

BIO 209 Anatomy & Physiology I with Lab - 4 credit hours
BIO 210 Anatomy & Physiology II with Lab - 4 credit hours
NS 207 Nutrition - 3 credit hours
NURS 220 Theoretical Foundations for Nursing Practice - 3 credit hours
*All pre-requisite courses are available in a hybrid, accelerated format (8-weeks) at the program reduced tuition cost rate. Please check with your Enrollment Manager prior to registering for a course at another institution to ensure it is equivalent to the prerequisite course at Walsh. If you choose to take the prerequisites at a local community college, your grade in the courses must be a C or higher. If you choose to take the prerequisites at another institution, your grade must be a C- or higher in order to transfer in as credit. All science courses must have been completed within the last seven years.
