Walsh to Continue Remote Instruction and Operations Friday, Feb. 4

Due to inclement weather and the conditions of sidewalks, roadways, and parking lots on campus, Walsh University will continue with remote instruction and operations on Friday, February 4, 2022.  

CAMPUS

  • All on-campus events and activities are cancelled.  
  • 11:00 a.m. Holy Mass is cancelled. 
  • University operations will continue remotely.  Some university offices may be closed.  Please check with your supervisor.  
  • The Schervish Dining Centre will open for brunch and dinner only.  All other dining retail locations will be closed.  
  • Cav Nation is encouraged to complete their cyber security training during this time, if possible.     

CLASSES

Online classes:  All classes offered online will continue as scheduled.   

In-person classes:  In-person classes will not meet in person. However, face to face instructors should conduct synchronous online classes as a default.  If circumstances occur (power outage, etc.), please contact your supervisor so they are aware.  Instructors should contact students this evening via email or ECN regarding the status of their class.   

  • Students are directed to contact their instructor with any questions.  
  • Students in special classes, such as clinical rotations, laboratory courses and internships, should consult with their faculty, if they have not yet been contacted.   

Our facilities team is working diligently to salt and clear sidewalks and parking lots. We encourage all of Cav Nation to be safe and take extra precautions when outdoors.  Please follow the guidance provided by our civil authorities as we work to keep our community safe.
